⚓ Hout Bay

Continue towards Hout Bay, a picturesque coastal community surrounded by mountains and overlooking a working fishing Harbour.

🏔️ Chapman's Peak Drive

When road conditions allow, travel along the spectacular Chapman's Peak Drive, one of the world's most impressive coastal roads.

🌿 Cape Point Nature Reserve

Enter the Cape Point section of Table Mountain National Park, a protected natural landscape covering thousands of hectares of indigenous fynbos and rugged coastline.

Wildlife can include baboons, ostriches, bontebok, eland and Cape mountain zebra, although sightings of wild animals cannot be guaranteed.

Guests choosing to enter Boulders Beach can walk along the viewing boardwalks and observe endangered African penguins in their natural coastal environment.

No. The funicular is optional and tickets are purchased separately. Guests can alternatively walk towards the lighthouse viewpoint.

Will we travel along Chapman's Peak Drive?
The tour uses Chapman's Peak when the route and road conditions permit. Temporary closures can occur due to weather, rockfall, maintenance or other safety considerations, in which case an alternative route will be used.

Is there much walking?
There is some walking at Cape Point, the Cape of Good Hope and, if selected, Boulders Beach. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Is there time for lunch?
This is a compact half-day itinerary, so a formal lunch stop is not normally a major part of the tour. We recommend eating beforehand and bringing money for refreshments if required.

Can children join this tour?
Yes. Families are welcome, and the optional African penguin visit is especially popular with children.

What happens if Chapman's Peak is closed?
Your guide will use an alternative Peninsula route so that the tour can continue. Road closures do not normally prevent the tour from reaching Cape Point.
