Brandy & Chocolate Tasting Tour Overview:

We waste no time on our Cape Brandy & Chocolate Tasting tour and head directly to Van Ryn’s Distillery (Closed on Sundays). Van Ryn’s is located along the Stellenbosch Wine Route and they are known around the world as the world’s finest brandy maker. The Van Ryn family arrived in the Cape from Holland in 1845 and since then this successful distillery has grown from strength to strength winning their first international award in 1884, which set them on the path to open their brandy distillery which launched its first bottle of superb brandy in 1905. The tour of the distillery offers you a friendly, unhurried, tranquil and knowledgeable experience with staff that loves to share their enthusiasm of fine brandy.

After Franschhoek, we travel to Paarl to visit the KWV Distillery. The KWV distillery is amongst South Africa’s prominent wine and spirit producers. Established in 1918, KWV Master Distillers have a consistent and strong reputation of crafting the best quality brandies, dating back to 1926. Internationally recognised for its brands such as KWV wines, Golden Kaan, Café Culture, Roodeberg, Laborie, Cathedral Cellar, Wild Africa Cream and of course the KWV 3,5,10,15 & 20 Year Old brandies. On your tasting tour you will be teased with the tantalizing tastes of the award-winning KWV branding paired together with deluxe chocolates from Belgium.
