The Pilanesberg Game Reserve is one of South Africa’s most popular Big 5 game reserves. The geology of the area is fascinating, it has the highest concentration of game and it’s rich in history. The reserve is located in a malaria-free region in the North West Province.

The game reserve is tucked between the dry, arid Kalahari Desert and the lush, tropical Lowveld region. This makes it an eco-wonderland, where fauna and flora from the different regions blend seamlessly into each other to create a uniquely balanced ecosystem.
Pilanesberg Game Reserve is small in comparison to the famous Kruger National Park but it can still boost an area of 572 Square Kms and there are a lot of animals in the reserve. Last count, there were over 7 000 animals in the compact reserve and at least 300 recorded bird species.
It’s almost guaranteed you’ll have excellent sightings of elephant, rhino, buffalo and lion on a day tour of Pilanesberg as well as other predators, an array of antelope and an abundance of plains game.
After collecting you form your hotel or residence in Johannesburg or Pretoria between 06:00 – 06:30, we travel to the Pilanesberg Nature reserve.
On arrival your guide will take you on an exciting morning open 4×4 safari game drive in search of the Animals and Africa's BIG 5 that inhabit the National Park. Our guides are knowledgeable and will give you in depth information on the animals you are viewing and try their out-most to find the members that make up Africa's Big 5.
During the heat of the day, you will enjoy lunch at one of the many rest camps in the National Park before departing on an afternoon open 4x4 safari drive.
Our vehicles depart the National Park between 15:30 – 16:00 in order to arrive back in Johannesburg before sunset.
