Horse Ride Cape Town Winelands - 1/2 Day

1/2 Day Horse Riding on One of South Africa’s most beautiful wine estates, this trip has wonderful riding on horseback through the stunning scenery of the Western Cape’s Winelands along with wine tasting at some of South Africa’s best wine estates.

The Winelands area of the Western Cape is amongst the most scenic winelands in the world. Splendid mountains form a dramatic backdrop to lush vineyards and gabled Cape Dutch homesteads steeped in history.

With its magnificent natural beauty, rich cultural heritage and world-renowned wines, the Winelands region is synonymous with all the best that the Cape has to offer. Combining this setting with the joy of riding great horses through some of South Africa’s best known vineyards makes for a magical riding experience.

A little more time and energy is well spent on this half-day ride (3-4 hours)

The rides depart from Wine Valley Adventures on Rhebokskloof Wine Farm, Paarl.

The trail will showcase the breathtaking view of the valley with the Du Toit’s Kloof Mountain range as backdrop. Wine farming activities and grape cultivars can be pointed out and explained by our well trained guides as we decent down the valley through the vineyards.

What to Wear Jodhpurs and half or full chaps, comfortable riding boots, please bring whatever you usually wear to ride. For those without riding gear, tight long pants will do with a closed shoe that has a slight heel.

Things to Bring Bring your camera, sunglasses and sunscreen.

Guests or Spectators Friends and family are welcome to spend time at “The Rhebok Restaurant” that offers bistro type food and the estate’s award winning wines.
