Whale Watching Hermanus Region

During a typical trip, you will have the opportunity to explore our stunning coastline and bay while keeping an eye out for various marine species such as whales, dolphins, sharks, seals, and seabirds. In addition to the Southern Right Whales, there is a chance to spot Brydes Whales, Humpback Whales, and even Great White Sharks. You will also have the pleasure of observing Cape Fur Seals, African Penguins, Dolphins, Sunfish, and an array of coastal marine birds during our time at sea.

Before each trip, we provide a brief and informative talk about the animals we may encounter and the route we will be taking. Safety is of utmost importance, so each passenger is equipped with a reliable life jacket. As part of our tradition, we raise a toast to "Our Whales" with iced water during each trip. We depart from the fishing harbour of Gansbaai and travel along the De Kelders Cliffs towards the Plaat beach.
