What is the Cape Town Big 5 Safari?
The Cape Town Big 5 Safari is a guided tour that takes you on an exhilarating journey through the South African wilderness. As the name suggests, the safari is designed to showcase the "Big Five" animals of Africa: lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffalo. These majestic creatures are among the most sought-after sightings for wildlife enthusiasts, and the Cape Town Big 5 Safari provides a rare opportunity to see them all in their natural habitat. It is the closest experience to the real Macoy you get in Kruger, but with the convenience of being local to Cape Town.

You'll also want to bring sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the day. It's a good idea to wear comfortable, lightweight clothing and closed-toe shoes for walking safaris.
Big 5 4x4 Safari Tour Experience
As you drive through the private game reserve, your guide will help you spot animals and provide information about their behavior and habitat. You may see lions lounging in the sun, elephants drinking from watering holes, or buffalo grazing in the grasslands.
Big 5 4x4 Safari Tour Overview:
Your guide will collect you at roughly 06:30am in exclusive transportation for you and your group/family. The drive is roughly 2hr 30mins so you can sit back, relax, even catch a few more winks if needed.
On arrival you will be served a Full Breakfast to prepare you for the day ahead.
The reserve used for the Big-5 experience covers a 10,000 hectare conservancy in the southern Karoo, and is home to the big 5 legends of the wilderness – elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino. This unique safari offers you an opportunity to see the Big 5 up close with the addition of other wildlife and flora.
The 2 to 3 hour safari departs at 10:15am and is led by an experienced guide who will share exciting inside stories: facts about your surroundings as well as informative information about all the animals, easily rousing your inner wild side. All safaris are taken in an open top 4 x 4 with options of using a Quad bike or on Horseback.
The Cape Town safari day tour includes a buffet breakfast, lunch, and the option of taking some cooling off dips at one of two breathtaking swimming pools, you are welcome to take advantage off the pools before or after your Big 5 Safari.
