Cruise Itinerary

  • All Cruises board 15min prior to departure time.
  • Cruise length is two and a half hours only.
  • We'll cruise along the Klein River for 45-60min towards the ocean, we'll then make a turn and have fires ready for you to start cooking your foods.
  • From turnaround we'll cruise back up the river for about 30-40 min and find a sheltered nook to moor off to eat and swim.
  • We'll return back to the start/departure point during the last 10-20 min.

What to Bring

This is a self-catering cruise. We supply the fire, wood, braai grids, braai utensils & the “gees”.

You need to bring your own picnic basket with:

  • Food
  • Drinks
  • Cutlery
  • Crockery
  • Casseroles

AND don’t forget your sunscreen, swimming clothes & towels.

Passenger safety is paramount! The African Queen is SAMSA surveyed with the necessary emergency equipment - A safety briefing is held before departure to as advise on the rules of swimming and the use of the tires on tow.
