Cape Town & Garden Route Itinerary
Day 1 – Welcome to Cape Town
Your South African adventure begins when we meet you at Cape Town International Airport and transfer you to your Cape Town accommodation.
After checking in, begin exploring the city with your guide. Weather permitting, we'll head to Table Mountain for one of the world's great city views. If conditions aren't suitable, your guide will adjust the itinerary and revisit Table Mountain when the weather improves.

Day 2 – Cape Point & Penguins Private Tour
Today we explore one of South Africa's most spectacular coastal routes. Travel through the Atlantic Seaboard suburbs of Clifton and Camps Bay before continuing towards Hout Bay and the dramatic Cape Peninsula.
Follow the coastline towards Cape Point Nature Reserve, visit the historic Cape of Good Hope region and later meet the famous colony of African penguins at Boulders Beach.

Day 3 – Winelands, Wildlife & Table Mountain
Day three combines several very different Cape experiences. Begin with a visit to Le Bonheur Reptiles and Adventures before enjoying a crocodile cage-diving experience for those wishing to participate.
We then move into the Cape Winelands for a relaxed local wine tasting before heading to Cool Runnings for an optional downhill tobogganing experience. Weather permitting, we'll use the afternoon for another opportunity to visit Table Mountain if necessary.

Day 4 – Cape Town City & Kirstenbosch
Discover Cape Town's history, neighbourhoods and major landmarks on a full-day city experience.
Travel through the city centre and waterfront precinct before visiting historic sites and finishing amongst the magnificent indigenous gardens at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden.

Day 5 – Cape Town to the Garden Route: Whales & Wildlife
Today we leave Cape Town and begin the Garden Route section of the adventure. An early start takes us towards Gansbaai for a boat-based marine experience and the opportunity to encounter whales and other marine wildlife.
Afterwards we continue inland for a 4x4 wildlife game drive before travelling on to Mossel Bay.

Day 6 – Shark Diving, Tsitsikamma & Knysna
Prepare for one of the biggest adventure days of the itinerary. Start with an early-morning shark cage diving experience before continuing east along the Garden Route.
Depending on your selected activities, the day can include an optional Bloukrans bungy jump before travelling into the spectacular Tsitsikamma National Park and Storms River region.

Day 7 – Knysna, Cango Caves & Oudtshoorn
Begin the morning at Knysna Elephant Park before travelling through the spectacular mountain scenery towards Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo.
The highlight of the afternoon is the world-famous Cango Caves, where vast limestone chambers and extraordinary formations have developed over millions of years.

Day 8 – Route 62 & Return to Cape Town
After breakfast we begin our journey back to Cape Town along the legendary Route 62.
Travel through the changing landscapes of the Klein Karoo and Cape Winelands before arriving back in Cape Town. Your final transfer can be arranged directly to Cape Town International Airport according to your flight schedule.

Table Mountain is weather dependent. Because you spend several days in Cape Town, your guide can usually move the visit to another suitable day when operationally possible.

No wild-animal sighting can be guaranteed. Whale-watching operations are also weather and sea-condition dependent.
Is shark cage diving compulsory?
No. Guests should discuss alternative arrangements with us if they do not wish to participate in a particular adventure activity.

Bring comfortable walking shoes, sun protection and layered clothing. Cape Town and the Garden Route can experience very different weather conditions during the same trip, and a light waterproof jacket is recommended.
